Abstrakt

Fakulta riadenia a informatiky vznikla v roku 1990. Vyučoval sa na nej jediný odbor Kybernetika v doprave a spo joch (KDS). Neskôr pribudol odbor Informačné a riadiace systémy, ktorý sa na dlhú dobu stal hlavným odborom fakulty. V roku 2002 sa postupne začal prechod na trojstupňový systém vzdelávania.
Bakalársky študijný program Informatika je uprostred procesu reakreditácie. V rámci toho sa robia analýzy toho, čo by bolo vhodné na vyučovacom procese zmeniť. Ako prvé sa menili matematické predmety. Matematická analýza 1 sa presunula až do druhého ročníka. Namiesto nej sa berie dôraz na vyučovanie diskrétnej matematiky v predmetoch ako Matematika pre informatikov a Diskrétna pravdepodobnosť. Tým by sa malo zabezpečiť užšie previazanie informatických a matematických predmetov.
Väčším problémom je vyučovanie informatických predmetov. Ciest ako vyučovať základy programovania je viac. Existujú názory, že by vyučovanie malo kopírovať historický vývoj. Takisto sa na to dá pozrieť a j z toho pohľadu, že by mohlo byť jednoduchšie začať vyučovať rovno ob jektové programovanie. Jasný nie je ani výber prvého programovacieho jazyka. Existujú hlasy za Javu, C#, C++, Pascal, dokonca i Python. Otázkou teda zostáva, ktorou cestou sa vybrať.

Abstract

Faculty of Management Science and Informatics was founded in the year 1990 with the only branch of study Cybernetics in Transport and Communications replaced later by the study branch Information and Control Systems. The both five-year study branches were intended for obtaining the university degree of Master of Science in Engineering. The change of the system of higher education into a three-degree level educational system started at the faculty in the year 2002.
Process of re-accreditation of the three-year study programme Informatics for the degree of Bachelor is in progress at the moment. Accompanying analyses of what to change in education are being performed. Some decisions on teaching mathematics have been made first. The role of discrete mathematics has been emphasised by putting the two subjects Mathematics for Computer Science and Discrete Probability into the curricula of the first year of study in the programme Informatics. The subject Mathematical Analysis I has been moved to the second year of study. The change proposed is supposed to ensure co-operation and mutual impact of sub jects oriented on Mathematics and those oriented on Informatics more closely than up to now.
Taking a decision on how to teach sub jects in the area of Informatics seems to be a greater problem. There are several ways of teaching basics of programming computers. Some opinions recommend to copy historical evolution in programming techniques. On the other hand, starting directly with teaching ob ject-oriented programming could be probably easier and more fruitful. The choice of the first programming language is not clear as well. The languages such as Java, C#, C++, Pascal, and even Python have been included in the variety of proposals. The question still remaining to be answered is, which way to choose.
